DRIVER'S BRIEF

Entry fee: $25
Lineup: 7 pm; Parade Rolls: 7:30 pm
All drivers must have driver's license, proof of vehicle insurance, and register a 0.000 on PPD breathalyzer at lineup. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Drivers must stay with vehicle until parade begins at 7:30 pm.
Parade will roll at continuous speed (less than 2 mph) and last 120 minutes. Please keep spacing consistent. Problems with spacing (stopping for any reason other than safety) may result in entry being pulled from parade or not being accepted next year.

PARADE GUIDELINES

All entries must line up on Watts Avenue at Magnolia Street. Participants entering from other areas will be asked to leave staging area and not participate.
Do not litter. Remove all trash from staging area or use dumpsters provided. Please do not leave trash/boxes on the road or curbside.
All floats must be parked by 6:45 pm to be in the parade; other entries by 7 pm.
No inappropriate music or inappropriate behavior.
No one under 18 may participate in the parade on foot unless part of Military/school marching unit.
No riders in bed of a pickup truck.
Golf carts are allowed. Driver must have driver's license and adhere to City of Pascagoula guidelines.
Drivers should not throw anything from the vehicle pulling a float.
All entries must include lights as their decoration with Christmas theme.
Failure to abide by these guidelines may result in entry being pulled from parade.

I understand that the Downtown for the Holidays Parade (the “Event”) is a parade and the activities of the parade (pre and post event) are dangerous and involve the risk of serious injury, death and/or property damage. I have read and understand the rules of the Event and agree to comply under penalty of removal from Event activities. In consideration of your accepting this entry and allowing to participate in the Event, I, undersigned, intending to be legally bound hereby, for myself, my representatives, heirs, executors, and administrators, waive and release any and all rights and/or claims for injury or damages of property I or participants con-nected to the group or float may have against Main Street Pascagoula (MSP), the City of Pascagoula (COP), its officers, directors, volunteers, agents, successors, and assigns, and any and all sponsors, and their representatives, successors and assigns, from death or any and all injuries or damages suffered in said Event. Further, I hereby grant full permission to MSP and COP to use without compensation any photographs, videotapes, motion pictures, or any other recordings or other record of the Event containing my image for any purpose whatsoever. I agree that the courts located in Jackson Country, Mississippi, shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any legal matters with the laws of the State of Mississippi.
